The app you create with the Veam It! Publisher will be free for your fans to download, and you'll add premium content. These sales are called "in-app purchases" and are completely optional.
What types of content can I add to sell?
You can add videos, audio files, and audio files with PDF attachments. You can also create videos to sell from right within the publisher app.
How much will my content cost, and what sort of selling options do I have?
You get to set the price-point for your content. You can choose to sell it piece-by-piece, all together as a one-time purchase, or as an ongoing, auto-renewing subscription (at any price point you set between $.99 and $9.99 in increments of a dollar).
How does my app generate revenue?
Through the sale of premium content in the form of in-app purchases.
Will my YouTube view count go up if my fans watch the content in my app?
Yes, when your YouTube content gets viewed in the app, your YouTube view count goes up.
Will AdSense ads work in my app?
Your AdSense ads will work in the Android version of the app. The YouTube API does not allow for AdSense ads to get shown through the iOS version of your app.
How often do you need to update Premium when under monthly subscription model?
You must publish at least 1 piece of content in the Premium section of the app if you select the monthly auto-renewing subscription model. Keep in mind, the more often you upload new premium content, the more likely you are to increase revenues brought in by the app.
Can I publish my free app without Premium content?
At this time, you must include premium content in your app to publish it. If this is the only thing holding you back from creating an app with the Veam It! Publisher, please feel free to contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss further, but keep in mind, your content is valuable, and it’s possible you’re missing out the value potential by passing by an opportunity to easily monetize it.
Does my YouTube content get automatically updated in my app?
Yes, once your app is published and available in the App Store and Google Play Store, your YouTube playlists will automatically update in the app.
What is the revenue split?
After the app stores take their cut, you’ll keep 50% of all revenues generated in your Veam app.
Will it be available on iOS and Android?
Yes, apps created in the Veam It! Publisher will be available on both marketplaces, without you having to do any additional work.
How would the users make payments to the app?
The app uses Apple and Google payment systems, so your fanbase will pay for premium content with their Apple or Google Play IDs and associated payment details (the same as any other app purchased from these markets).
